To Know Peter and Gordon Is To Love Them [Posted by Katie Hickox on Tuesday, 07/03/07 10:43 pm] [Full Blog] [Related Posts] [Digg This] Being such a huge Beatles fan, and having been too young in the sixties to know who Peter and Gordon were, I found their talk at the Fest interesting. Gordon was teasing Peter throughout because Peter was more popular with the ladies than Gordon. Peter confessed how incrediby lucky they were to have had hits and the fame that went along with it. They said they stopped touring because their manager wasn't good about securing payment from their gigs and it wasn't fun anymore, although there never really was a day when they "broke up", they just drifted apart gradually. Peter enjoys producing music more than he did singing as part of the "Peter and Gordon" duo and went on to help produce hits by recording artists James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt and others. Gordon went to pursue his love of landscaping which has enjoyed and is acclaimed for his award winning landscaping projects. They recently got together a year ago as a lark because they both missed performing and singing together and they have remained friends since they stopped performing and recording back in the late sixties.
